Our Story

Zaket & Plover was founded in 2004 by my partner Chris and me, rooted in a family knitwear tradition stretching back to LaDame - our family's Melbourne label from the early 1980s, known for its intricate jacquard designs and made right here in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

We evolved the label into something new - carrying forward the craftsmanship and integrity of LaDame, while building a brand that's entirely our own.

From the start, our focus has been simple: clothing that balances comfort with style. As head designer, I design for myself and women like me - pieces that flatter real bodies and move through real life.

Joy is at the heart of everything. Our collections combine colour, texture and thoughtful detail to suit every mood. And while we're known for playful colour, each season is grounded by richer, deeper shades - versatility alongside the vibrancy.

We're committed to quality, sustainable luxury and fair pricing - pieces that feel special, last well, and are genuinely enjoyed.

Today we're still a small, family-run business in Melbourne, continuing a legacy of knitwear craftsmanship, one collection at a time.
